Privacy Policy

Account information. CodeName, email address, password (stored as a salted hash — we never store your plaintext password), and authentication provider.

Profile information (optional). Birthdate, current and provincial address, mobile number, and profile picture.

Content you submit. Articles, photos, videos, comments, and reactions you post through the Service.

Location data. When you submit an article, we request your device's GPS coordinates to automatically tag the article with your location at the time of submission. We use this coordinate to look up a human-readable place name via a third-party geocoding service. You can decline location access; your submission will simply have no location tag.

Device and usage data. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device type, browser, and pages visited, collected for security, analytics, and abuse prevention.

Consent records. We keep a timestamped record of the version of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service you agreed to at signup.

• To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you when you log in.
• To publish content you submit after it passes moderation review.
• To tag published articles with the location they were reported from.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
• To notify you about the status of your submissions (e.g. approved, sent back for edit).
• To improve the Service and understand how it is used.

When a Moderator or Administrator approves a video submission, the Service may automatically publish that video — exactly as approved, using the title and description supplied at submission — to social media accounts that Pangasinan.TV itself owns and operates, which currently include YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

This means: only content a human moderator has already reviewed and approved is ever sent to TikTok. We publish to our own official Pangasinan.TV TikTok account only — we do not post on your behalf to your personal TikTok account, we do not request access to your personal TikTok account, and we do not share your account credentials, email, precise location, or any personal profile information with TikTok. The only data that reaches TikTok is the video file itself and the caption text you wrote for the submission.

TikTok's own handling of any data transmitted to it is governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy.

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. Device and visit logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and are not shared with third parties. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 6).

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent or deleting your account may limit your ability to use the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
